Carmen,
After re-reading your post. . . I a gave you some bad information. Your inbound is working it is your out bound that you are having problems with. The MX record is used to tell others how to reach your server.

I need more information on your configuration. The other client types that you have tried, were they used directly through your Internet connection or through a Domino server? Are you relaying through your ISP/a firewall? Or or you connecting directly to the Internet?

The FQHN error I believe may indicate that you do not have your servers Full Qualified Host Name populated on the server document. I would start there.
